SCREEN MUSIC AWARDS 2007 - WINNERS


NIGEL SCORES A HAT-TRICK
At the 2007 APRA AGSC Screen Music Awards presented on Tuesday, November 27 at Sydney’s Recital Hall, Nigel Westlake collected three Awards this year including his fifth Award for Feature Film Score of the Year, adding to his stockpile of nine Screen Music Awards won across various categories.


The Wiggles continue to have substantial success overseas, this year winning both the Most Performed Screen Composer – Overseas and the 2007 International Achievement Award. The Wiggles have previously won for Best Music for Children’s Television in 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1999.

HG Nelson was the indefatigable MC and musical director Paul Grabowsky led the orchestra through some of the nominated works during the stylish awards ceremony. Rachel Ward, Gary Sweet and Iva Davies were among the presenters and winners, nominees and guests celebrated over dinner at the Westin Hotel, followed by noisy networking at the Westin Lobby Bar.
